This year on 18 July — Nelson Mandela's 95th birthday — the United Nations (UN) is joining a call by the Nelson Mandela Foundation to devote 67 minutes of time to helping others, as a way to mark Nelson Mandela International Day.
We, the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers, Footprints Around the World 4 Peace, RESPECT for Mother Earth Walkers, and the 13 Moon Walkers 4 Peace are joining with the UN and our United Religions Initiative community in celebrating Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday and the Nelson Mandela International Day!
The UN staff in New York will help rebuild homes in two of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy! They will volunteer to honor Nelson Mandela’s legacy and service to humanity.
The Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers will engage in a community cleanup project in Cottonwood, Alabama. We invite all walkers and communities we walked through to volunteer to uplift our communities by giving selfless service to meet a need in your community!
We can do this. What a great way to uplift one of the world’s great heroes, as he faces his healing challenges at this time.
Forever forward in the pursuit of peace on earth for ALL!
